Abraham: If there is a reaction to an old belief, then the new belief has not been totally integrated, there's still a bit of a tug of war going on. That's why we say negative emotion is so wonderful, because it helps you ferret out any of that vibration that is still present that is in the way. When you want something, the awareness of what you don't want is keener. If you don't care, it doesn't matter. But when you want something, there is an equal proportionate awareness of what is not wanted. So as you are talking about what you do want and why you do want it, you gain a sort of momentum. And so let's say you've made some new decisions, and from these decisions, and from your new direction of thought, you begin attracting all sorts of information. As you attract information relative to the new way you are looking at this, anything that you've ever thought about it that is not in harmony with that, begins to surface. In other words let's say that you make a new decision that you're gonna have a lot of money, where all of your life you've either not believed that you could, or that you should. In other words there are all those beliefs about it, and so just now in making the new decision that you're wanting more money, all these old beliefs relative to it start creeping up. The nice thing is, as they rear their ugly heads... It's not really ugly heads, it's very nice. As they come forth into your experience, you're gonna have a feeling sensation around it. When you feel negative emotion, you stop and say, "Ah, my guidance system is showing me, that there's something important here, and that I'm flowing my energy, even unconsciously, even subconsciously, (although by the time you feel it, it is usually conscious) toward something I do not want." And so you stop in that moment and pinpoint it, and then you talk about what you do want, and that's the way you bridge the belief, until it IS fully integrated.

We were visiting with some friends in California a while ago, and we said to them during their segment of lunch, we have an assignment for you. Physical beings love assignments. Everyone took out their notebook, and we said go to the beach. And they all wrote, "Go to the beach." And we said, and count the grains of sand. Most of them were annoyed with us. We said, you can do it, there are enough of you, and you can get others to help you. And if you don't finish it today, or in this lifetime, they will develop computer programs and technology to keep track of which pieces have been counted and which haven't. Til eventually, it will all be done. No one went to the beach, because they sensed the futility in our assignment. And then we said to them, it's the way most of you spend your lives, counting grains of sand. In other words, you live something, you watch something on television, or you see something happening, and as you ponder it, you say "I will get to the bottom of this." And we say, you can't get to the bottom of any of it, because each thing that happened has another infrastructure. In other words, if you will decide that you will figure out how these two people, why they were behaving the way they were on the Oprah Winfrey show, then you would have to understand who their parents were, and who their friends were, and who the friends of their parents were, and what was their economic status, what neighborhoods did they live in, what was their culture and religious background, what teacher at what point interfaced and brought forth that feeling within that one, and how did that teacher... In other words, it is a tangled web, a can of worms that you could never begin to unravel, and you know that because you try! You know that because you have all of these statistics and all of these talk shows and all of this clamoring over these bits and pieces of the way you're interfacing with each other, and nobody ever gets anywhere relative to any of it! OR, you could simply stop and say, "How am I flowing my energy? Is this thought productive? Am I flowing my energy toward a way that is uplifting and connecting, or am I flowing my energy toward a way that is not?" Rather than deciding that you will be a debater of issues, which opens you to infinite attraction of infinite thought, we would encourage you to give your attention to your knowledge and belief in the Law of Attraction. One simple awareness to one simple law, will clarify and put you in a position of delicious unfolding forevermore. Let us give you an example of what we mean. You are always on this seesaw sort of contrasting teeter-totter, between experiencing your freedom and your growth. Jerry and Esther are very busy these days, and happily so. As we watch them, and see the fingers in the pies that they are involved in, we estimate that their physical activity is more than ten times what it was one year ago, we're talking about physical exposure to physical stuff. And yet their feeling of output is less than it was, because they've diminished any resistance, and it was always the resistance that bogged them down and made them tired. In other words, they're in the flow, they're tapped in, tuned in, turned on, so everything happens easily. Last weekend, they went to a city. Now, as they move about, they have developed some patterns, some systems, that work well for them. You are habitually-oriented people, because it's nice to not to have to rethink everything all over again. It's not nice that when you stand up to go have lunch, you're not gonna have to remember how to walk again, or learn it all over again. You keep building on what you have, you see. So Jerry and Esther have developed some systems, they use predominantly these Courtyard Marriotts as they move about. And they find it to be very satisfying, because they know what to expect, they understand the way the system works, so they interface with it effortlessly. Esther is a little bit like a travel agent, as she is booking sleeping rooms and meeting rooms and car rentals and hotels and airline flights... A tremendous number of detail, but because the system has become comfortable to her, she can do so much in such a short period of time, and there is no resistance or no trauma or no lack within it. So they are embarking on this trip, and they are going to a city where the airline that they are accustomed to does not fly. And they're going to a city where the hotel of their choice is not there. And they're going to a city where the car they are usually having waiting for them, is not going to be waiting for them. In other words, so many of the non-factors, were not there. Esther started to get a little uneasy about it, so much so that she actually said to her mate, a day or two before they left, "Scratch this off the agenda next year. In other words, let's not go anywhere, where these things that we want and like are not there." And so then she began feeling uneasiness, in other words she was feeling lack, "My favorite hotel is not there. My favorite car is not there. My favorite airline, where I have gold cards, where I'm treated like a princess, is not there." The uneasiness signaled Esther that she was negatively flowing energy! In other words, the issue suddenly to Esther was not about the car, not about the hotel, not about the airline. The issue to Esther was, "How am I flowing my energy?" Because HER LIFE AS IT UNFOLDS, IS NOT ABOUT WHICH CAR, WHICH HOTEL, WHICH AIRLINE IS WAITING FOR HER, THE WAY HER LIFE UNFOLDS IS ABOUT HOW ESTHER IS FLOWING ENERGY. So this isn't about trying to hammer the physical action into place, it's about how do I feel as I'm doing my flowing? And Esther realized, she was flowing negative energy. So she stopped and felt that, and said "Well what is it that I want?" And she began thinking about the people that she would meet there, and she began thinking about the gathering, and she began thinking about the fun of discovering a new city, and she began flowing energy toward the adventure, rather than the known, and she began to relax into it. And it was such an amazing thing for them to experience as it unfolded, because even though they were not on the airline they are accustomed to, the airline where they've earned the gold cards, so that they are given preferential treatment, even though they were not on that airline, they were still given preferential treatment. They were still assigned to the forward cabin, they were still treated as if they were on that airline every weekend, even though it's on the other one. When they arrived at the rental car spot, even though the big Lincoln Town car that they like so much was not waiting for them, because they do not have luxury cars at this facility, a brand new car had been brought in that day for them, it had 18 miles on it. And it was sitting in space number one, which was the closest space right outside the door. In other words Esther said, "It does not get any better than this! In other words, as good as it can be, it is being for us." When they went to the hotel, they had been assigned to the plaza club, which they had never heard of, for these hotels do not have them. But it was as a special floor where a special key got you there, and there were all sorts of wonderful amenities there, there was food lain out for them to have any time they wanted it, and all sorts of extra services. And when they went down for dinner, there was live music, a wonderful woman playing the piano. Not only was this as good as Esther's been experiencing in other places, this was actually even more delicious, because there were so many unknowns about it, that the feeling of adventure was now being satisfied. In other words, there was so much new to discover, it launched Esther into a new place of thinking. And what she began to realize is, "I don't have to bang all of the physical details into place! I don't have to know what's around every corner that I'm gonna turn! All I have to know is, it's gonna be good! All I have to know is, I am in the flow of Well-Being! All I have to know is, this vibration, this way I feel, can only produce something that's gonna surprise and delight me!" Physical beings, you're not very trusting, because you've been so accustomed to not utilizing your inner guidance, so you better keep your eyes and ears open, so you better know what's going on, so you better sort of bang things and maneuver things into place. And what you're beginning to discover is, as you begin to allow yourself to be connected to that Broader sensing, you will always be not only at the right place at the right time, but at the best place at the best time! In other words the entire Universe begins to work synchronistically, to bring you to the place of satisfying the state of being that you've been seeking. So the entire emphasis that we are offering to you, is to get off the treadmill of trying to figure out all the stuff you want to have and all the stuff you want to do, and put your entire emphasis upon how you are wanting to FEEL, and with that throbbing desire of feeling in harmony with who you really are, so that you have this strong, steady, ever-present current of Well-Being flooding through you, then ONLY good things can come to you, and they will surprise and delight you in ways that today you could not even begin to articulate. It is a matter of FEELING your way through it, rather than THINKING your way through it. But you must think before you can feel. But we're still wanting to put the emphasis upon the feeling, not upon the thinking, 'cause you can get lost in your thoughts, can't you? Oprah airing teachers and parents was a very mean, ugly battle. Everyone mad at everyone. They got nowhere, Oprah kept saying, "Let's look for some solutions!" And then another one would scream the problem, and then Oprah would say "Let's look for some solutions!" And another one would spew their venom. They were getting nowhere, because they were wanting to focus upon the details that they had already decided were inappropriate, rather than wanting to get to the place of feeling good, you see.
