Has anyone had any homeopath treatments that have helped?

I was wondering about that too-my chiropractor asked me what I was on and she said for me to take willowbark-it is the same as aspirin but won't eat up my stomach!

I am starting the aspirin regimen that was posted on here yesterday or day before. I hope to see some good results. I am going to check into the willowbark. I guess a vitamin shoppe or natural foods store?

how much are you on? I started on 81 mg in the evening and had good results but my feet throb after being under the covers at night so now I take 81 mg in the morning too.....and now after just over a week, my big toe doesn't throb at all anymore!! Hope you get some relief too!?

Right now I just have a little bottle of the 325 mg that I take when I feel a headache coming on....to me its a shot of caffeine to dilate blood vessels in head. It does mess with my stomach if I don't eat or drink some milk before taking. I will go and get some 81mg size today and start on that. That is great news about your toe not throbbing any longer. Do you have secondary em or primary?

don't really know yet....Dr has not actually diagnosed me yet....he is trying this treatment to see how I respond. I have had this now that i think about it, for years as in 2006 while visiting Aruba I had to sit in a pizza hut for 2 hours with my bare feet on the tile floor! They were pure red and swollen but they didn't really get troublesome until late in 2009.....now I have it daily when they get hot. What is yours?Primary or secondary?

We are similiar. I never had the burning but for last 5 or 6 years have had swelling in ankles and feet but just thought it was from having in hanging position. But I think it was precursor to em.Now I have burning in toes and soles of feet but it is manageable. Mine also started in 2009 but in early 2009. I have not been "formally" diagnosed with it but I am 100% sure thats it. I go in May to see a neurologist in Dallas that is very familiar with em.TEA gave me two drs names and this is one I chose. I have pictures of flares to show which is impt for diagnosis I hear. I think mine is secondary to small fiber neuropathy maybe from two bulging discs in lumbar area of spine. What area of country are you in?

I've been taking Magnesium Malate, 400 mg. a day and have seen a noticable reduction in my flares and their severity.

Chelsea, I'm on magnesium also. I take 400mg per day, and also get an injection of it and Vit B-12 each week. I can tell it works because the day before I get my injection my feet and hands start to flare. I get my shots tomorrow and today has been a bad day.

Chelsea...what brand of magnesium malate do you take and how long before you noticed improvement? Thank you. Judy...are you taking magnesium malate also? Please tell me about the injection if you don't mind. I am taking magnesium citrate but am wondering if I should switch. Any thoughts? Thank you!

I am using the Nature's Life Brand Magnesium Malate Powder. I got it on Amazon.com. Nature's life also has a website on the bottle which is: natureslife.com

Susie, I use Dr. Sinatra's Broad Spectrum Magnesium capsules by mouth. My weekly injections are Magnesium Sulfate 50% Rx only. I also take a B-12 injection at the same time. I hope you get good results!

Chelsea and Judy...thank you so much. I am going to Vitamin Shoppe today to see about the magnesium malate. Been doing alot of reading online about it. I have been taking magnesium citrate but it is not the same so am going to switch. Any problems with diarrhea while being on it? Magnesium has a laxative effect so just wondering.

Reply to this post

No diarrhea for me. Mine was so low I actually had to take a couple of bags through IV drip in the hospital. I would suggest you take it early in the day, this way if you don't have to worry about having diarrhea during the night. I think it would take a very high dose to cause diarrhea. Good luck Susie!

So strange...all postings and threads that were gone yesterday are back. I promise I am not losing it!

You are not crazy, Susie!!! Mine does this to for some reason. One time a post will be there and then it's gone and then I look later and it's back.

Yep no one is crazy, well maybe I am, but the posts do seem to disappear and then show up again. I think it's a Facebook glitch.

WITH 650 mg ASPIRIN...

I take 400 mg. a day, at bedtime.

Someone ask if the magnesium was helping, but I can't find it now. I will just answer here. Since going on the magnesium, aspirin, and Vit D I can tell I am already much better, and I have just been on these for 17 days. I did have to cut back on my aspirin because it was bothering my Crohn's, but still take one 81mg twice daily with food. If you take the magnesium at bedtime it will help you relax and sleep better!

Judy...I think it was me. That is so very wonderful that you are better after being on this regimen for 17 days. I started the magnesium malate yesterday and today added vit d 5000 units. I know you get yours by infusion....what is happening that you feel much better...less flares, less intensity? Again, so happy for you!

Reply to this post

Thanks Susie, you are right on, I have less flares with less intensity when I do have one. My hands and feet are still red, but not nearly as hot as they use to be. They are just warm to the touch now!

Reply to this post

Cont. from above: I also get more restful sleep, which helps greatly! I hope you get good results also?

Reply to this post

That is so encouraging Judy.I am so happy for you. I pray this will have the same effect for me. I have noted every day and if or when I had a flare since end of Jan. to show the neurologist in May when I go plus I have pics. I am hopeful that by that time I can say that the flares are less intense. This is such a wonderful group of people that post on here and I thank each and every one of you.
