This morning its pretty cold here in southern Oregon! A lot of people this time of year to help warm up, besides the fire in their fireplace, they use a lot of warming spices; perhaps in their morning chai, or cinnamon in their meals. However, there are other effective ways that can be very beneficial to help keep you warm during this time of year.
Going back to the roots of aromatherapy: incense is a very common way to administer medicine through the nasal passages, into the lungs, brain, and bloodstream. In the ancient healing ways of Ayurveda, Tibetan medicine, and Traditional Chinese medicine, they would use stimulating and warming aromatic herbs in incense form. Clove, cardamom, cinnamon, ginger, and galangal: using these types of herbs in your incense or essential oil diffusers can be very warming on these cold winter days.
