Organic Farming Introduction Food is the basic need of all living beings. As food, normally we consume rice, flour, fish, egg, meat, milk, fruits, vegetables etc. In this busy world it is not at all possible to know how these foods are cultivated, prepared, carried, preserved and sold. Taking the advantage of this ignorance, most of the food producers either knowingly or unknowingly have detached themselves from the principles of pure food culture thus causing serious health complicacy and ecological imbalance. But the life is only one, as such this is the high time for the learned people to stand against all ecological misdeeds and adopt organic farming, a system of pure food production preserving ecological balance. To allow agricultural producers a living according to the UN human rights; To consider the wider social and ecological impact of the farming system. Benefits of organic farming Organic farming provides long-term benefits to the people and the environment. Market Analysis In Bangladesh, organic farming is in infant stage with a bright future. Some farmers are producing organic vegetables and marketing in big cities. There are few companies in the country selling eggs by claiming to be organic. They have their brand and marking on their packets as organic products certifying from authorities like BCSIR and BSTI. In USA, the departments of Livestock Services and Agriculture are the authorities for organic certification.
