PILCHARDS IN A PUDDLE

Ladies if you have run out of ideas of what to do with pilchards heres something everyone will love.PILCHARDS IN A PUDDLE1×215 can Lucky Star Pilchards in tomato sauce1×400g Luck Star Pilchards in hot chilli sauce180g self-raising flour2ml salt3eggs beaten280-300ml milkPlace the flour and salt in a mixing bowl. Make a well in the centre. Add the beaten eggs plus most of the milk to the centre of the well and whisk to form a smooth batter. Mix in most of the milk to form a runny batter. Set the batter aside in fridge to chill for 30 mins. Grease a a flat oven proof dish and por in the chilled batter. Drain the pilchards and reserve yhe sauce. Arrange the whole pilchards on top of the batter. Bake in oven for 30 mins until well risen. Top with chopped parsley. And serve with chakalaka.CHAKALAKA15 ml oil1 small onion choppedGreen pepper slicedCarrot gratedSauce of pilchardsIn a pan geat the oil and saute the onion pepper and carrots. Cook for five mins until tender. Add the sauce yo the veg bring to a boil then set aside and keep warm.
