Qualifications Requirements: _ The position requires a college degree in Safety and Occupational Health or relevant technical discipline. _ The incumbent should have a minimum of 10 years experience in related activities. _ Must be DOT/IATA certified in order to sign hazardous waste manifests. _ A CSP and/or CIH certification is highly desirable. _ Strong knowledge of Title V permitting and SCAQMD rules and regulations is a plus. _ Excellent communication, analytical, and PC skills are critically important. Utilize the EHS MS Scorecard to measure results. • Utilize PPG and Aerospace EHS tools including Impact, eManual, MOC Portal, Dakota and People Development Center training tools/Cornerstone. • Analyze Environmental, TDG and Sustainability data to identify performance trends and recommend program changes and corrective actions to drive continual EHS performance improvement across the Aerospace SBU. • Develop solutions to EHS problems to prevent interruption of business operations. • Regularly assess Environmental, TDG and Sustainability performance across the Aerospace SBU through site visits and formal and informal assessments and evaluation. • Direct EHS activities related to special projects including acquisition due diligence and integration, and major facility expansions/modifications. • Work closely with all levels of the organization to foster an EHS & Sustainability culture and consciousness across operations to achieve sustainable World Class performance. • Provide guidance and leadership in Environmental, Health, and Safety processes for Aerospace sites in the EMEA Region. • Represent Aerospace at industry, regulatory, community, or special interest groups. • Respond to customer requests for information related to sustainability, environmental compliance and dangerous goods transportation. • Participate on Corporate EHS committees and teams as may be requested from time to time, including program improvement reviews and EHS Compliance Audits.
